Las Vegas Songwriters Festival lands at Mandalay Bay August 20–22, and the opening night lineup is now set: David Lee Murphy, Craig Campbell, and Jerrod Niemann kick off the three-day run on Thursday. Murphy is a Nashville Songwriter Hall of Fame member whose pen is behind Kenny Chesney and Jason Aldean cuts. Campbell has 50-plus Grand Ole Opry appearances. Niemann's “Lover, Lover” went Platinum and his songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks and Blake Shelton.
The format is songwriter-in-the-round style across multiple venues inside the resort — performances paired with storytelling and select Q&A sessions. The full roster runs more than 45 writers, including Liz Rose, Dean Dillon, Eric Paslay, Ray Fulcher, and Rebecca Lynn Howard. Single-day tickets start at $45 before taxes and fees and go on sale June 5 at 10 a.m. PT. Early Bird pricing on multi-day passes runs through June 30 at 10 p.m. PT. Room-and-ticket packages are available through Mandalay Bay directly.
