8 MORE Things to Look Forward to in 2024
2024 promises more goodies in Las Vegas. Here are eight exciting things being introduced this year.
#1. Saying Goodbye to the Tropicana Las Vegas
The Tropicana Las Vegas was once described as “the Taj Mahal of the American scene” and was even at one time the grandest and the most expensive hotel in Sin City. Unfortunately, we have to say goodbye to this lavish hotel this year to make way for a stadium for the A’s. So, if you’re a fan, please come and pay your respects.#2. DiscoShow
Whether you were born during the era of discos or not, you know that disco is not dead. That’s why Spiegelworld is bringing DiscoShow in 2024. This is bound to be glorious, especially because it will have the fun of the old good days.#3. Ice Age Fossils State Park
This is Nevada’s newest state park. Although it was first announced in 2017, it wasn't until January 2024 that it finally opened to the public. So, bring your kids because it’s one of the family-friendly places in Las Vegas. Ice Age Fossils State Park is 315 acres in size and situated at 8660 N. Decatur Blvd. You’ll get to visit what used to be home to ground sloths, dire wolves, camels, American lions, and Columbian mammoths, among many others. It’ll display some fossils, and one of its trails even features extinct mammals made of metal sculptures.#4. New Playgrounds
There are at least three playgrounds that I know of that are opening this year that should arouse your interest. The first one is Play Playground, which will open at Luxor. It will have 20 games and attractions, including a Velcro wall and a gigantic bounce house. Children will be allowed during the day, but only adults will be permitted at night. The second one is Particle Ink: House of Shattered Prisms. This will also be at Luxor. The third one is Dreambox3600, which will be open at The Linq Promenade. Come and enjoy these amazing attractions.
