Ross performs and sings — comedy, live vocals, and social satire together in one theatrical production. Las Vegas Weekly and the Review-Journal don‘t give out Best of awards to safe acts recycling clean material. There’s no podium and a microphone; there's a full production.

The Plaza, 1 Main Street

The Plaza doesn‘t get the press coverage that Strip properties do. Bigger PR budgets win media attention, not necessarily better programming. Downtown Las Vegas has been quietly putting together more interesting entertainment lineups than plenty of mid-tier Strip venues still booking tribute bands and whoever just aged out of the arena circuit.

For a taping, the Plaza works for practical reasons. You need a room with real, concentrated energy, not a 3,000-seat cavern where the first 20 rows feel the show and everyone behind them is essentially watching on a screen. Downtown crowds also tend to show up intentionally — less “this was in the hotel package,” more “I specifically purchased this ticket.” That distinction feeds directly into how a taping feels on camera.

On-site parking is available and it’s roughly 10-15 minutes from the Strip by rideshare.

4pm vs. 9pm

Both performances are full tapings. Both go into the streaming release.

The 9pm crowd will be warmer and louder. Late-show audiences at comedy tapings are more responsive, and that energy feeds the performance and what the editor has to work with. If you want the electric room, go at night.

The 4pm works if you'd rather secure your spot without fighting the evening crowd. Earlier Downtown shows tend to fill more casually, which means better odds of sitting exactly where you want.
